We are so excited to tell you that we are expecting!  I am 13 weeks and counting and our due date is August 7th.  This is my first, so it's even more special.  We weren't sure we'd be able to have kids, so it was a wonderful surprise when we found out a week after my birthday!

We're planning to find out whether we're having a boy or a girl and are getting bombarded with all kinds of fun ways to tell ahead of time... none that we've tried yet.  Although, I am craving red meat, which Nikki tells me means it's probably a boy!  Who knows.  We have had our girls name picked out since 4 months of dating and have a few boys names we like... but when it's yours it seems like such a tougher decision!  Now I know why so many people agonize over this.

I'm already starting to show and have had some fun shopping for maternity dresses.  They are so comfortable and can be dressed up or down, especially in the spring/summer.  (If those ever come).  :-) 

We hope to keep you posted on our progress on the blog.  So far we've had 2 doctor's appointments, the last one where we heard the heartbeat!  It was amazing... 160 strong beats a minute.  (Another old wives tale pointing to a boy).  We'll just have to wait and see.
